and it was...AMAZING.

My fellow friends and bloggers.

As you may know, I have been awaiting the premier of the Hunger Games for quite some time. I have been fangirling like it's nobody business. And when the night of the 23rd arrived I was hardly able to contain my excitement.

In order to properly celebrate the release of this epic film, I knew that I had to dress up. And dress up I did. Oh...we were legit...

Hannah, my little sister's best friend, accompanied me and Emily to the thrift store in attempt to find a "capitol" outfit. Emily found an amazing outfit for Katniss in the arena, and Hannah, well, you'll just have to check out the pictures to see.

I picked out an outfit for Sarah, braided her hair, and *BAM* she became Prim. I had Hannah curl her hair, then I put it up, spray painted it pink, and went hard to work on her makeup and *BAZINGA* we have Effie Trinket. Emily borrowed my boots and pants and surprisingly let me braid her hair. Complete with a bow and arrow *WHAM* Emily became Katniss in the arena. Sarah remembered I had the perfect dress to match Katniss's reaping outfit. I threw it on, quickly put my hair up in a braided ca-bobble and *WHOA* I was Katniss at the reaping.

You guys, the movie was perfection. I rarely enjoy books being converted to movies, but I was not disappointed in the slightest. Sure, there were some things that I thought were missing (more PEETA!), and things that they could have done right (the giving of the Mockingjay pin), but in all sincerity, I.LOVED.THIS.MOVIE. And I will hear no crap from anyone on Peeta, a.k.a, Josh Hutcherson. His incredibly attractive jawline astounds me. I love him.

So..to all my fellow Hunger Game fans...

May the Odds be Ever in your Favor!

oh my gosh you guys...

The Hunger Games Movie comes out tomorrow....

TOMORROW

*breathe in and out Erica, slow, steady breaths*

holysmokesalmightyicannotwaitilovepeetaihopetheydothebookjusticeiamtotallydressingupaaahhh!

I just said that all really loud in one breath. Yes, that is how excited I am.

Went to the thrift store to get my sister's Katniss outfits, and a couple of Capitol outfits too. Might I just say that they are totally legit. With a capital "egit".

This is going to be the highlight of my whole year. I am not joking.

For your entertainment (but mostly mine) I have provided fandom pictures below:

You guys. I think I might die.

sink your teeth in...get it?

Saw Twilight:Breaking Dawn Part 1 (is that not the longest movie title in history) the other day...

Shall we review?

To be honest, I have been putting off seeing this movie. In fact, I was vehemently opposed to seeing the flick when it was first released because I didn't want ticket sales to beat out the fabulous Harry Potter. Being the nerd I am, I'd like to pride myself on the fact that Harry Potter ticket sales did beat Twilight ticket sales, but in all reality, who, but myself, cares? Also, I had heard that Jacob and his wolf pack have a telepathic meeting of sorts...that was enough to not only make me laugh hysterically, but to force myself to save the eight dollars that I might have spent on seeing the movie.

I thought that Kristin Stewart couldn't get any uglier than she already is. I now stand corrected, apparently she can...proof seen below...

Eeeeeewww....

I was a bit frustrated that she (Bella) looked constipated/and or about to keel over before her wedding, during her wedding and after her wedding. I then remembered the butt ugly guy (Edward) that she was marrying and it all made perfect sense. I mean, wouldn't you if you had to wake up to this every morning?

Anyways, I have to admit, I was entertained. I laughed..a lot. Especially the telepathic wolf communication scene which actually happened (i hoped against all hope that that sort of scene wouldn't be included). And props to the CGI/Makeup department. Seriously. The movie earned 3 out of 5 stars in my book, 1 star for the CGI alone and two stars because well, Jacob is so dang fine. The ending was epic. My sisters, my friend and I were all like, "HOLYHANNAHOHMYHECK!!"

It's been a long time since I said that at the end of a movie.

the sneeze

You know those days when you've finished that long shift at work and all you want to do is go home, have yourself a BBC marathon and veg on the couch while you happily munch on two entire bags of Cadburry eggs? Ya, me too.

Reality:

Finish long Saturday shift at work.
Drive home.
Waste time on Pinterest.
Eyelids start to feel like lead.
Realize the night is wasted.
Lay on the couch.
Fall asleep.

I distinctly remember drifting off into sleep. You know, those fine moments when you are keenly aware that you should get up, brush your teeth, wash your face, change out of the disgusting clothes you've been sweating in all day and get in your own bed but instead lay on the couch like a dead gorilla because you are just that dang comfortable? It was in these fine moments of darkness, dreams and silence that I heard, not even slightly joking you, what seemed to be a sneeze underneath my head:

*ACCHHOOO!!!*

My blood turned cold, my even breathing stopped completely. Although too terrified to blink my eyes I threw caution to the wind and loudly screamed, "holyflippinsmokesiamgoingtodieaslowandpainfuldeathwhatthecrapwasthat?!"
I swiped a blanket from the end of the couch, threw it over my entire body all ninja-like, shut my eyes so tight it hurt and say over and over again, "i'm too young to die, i'm too young too die!!" It is in the middle of of this repetitive chant that something heavy hits/grabs/punches? my ribcage. Four things flew threw my mind:

1. i was living my worst nightmare
2. i should've fallen asleep with a can of mace
3. i should've taken karate instead of zumba
4. why did i fall asleep on the couch my bed is 10 billion times more comfortable anyways

I ripped the blanket off, unfolded from the fetal position and found myself looking at this:

What's the difference between a cat and a killer? You tell me.

wanna hear something ridiculous?

I've been trying out this crazy new exercise revolution called Zumba. Let me give you a background story on why I am even posting a story on this said revolution. I don't exercise. Anything that involves the word "running" or the action thereof will result in me not having to do anything with that particular activity. However, I have found myself feeling as if I have ran the Boston Marathon and desperately try to fill my Titanic size lungs with oxygen when climbing stairs. In between blackouts at the top of any staircase I say to myself, "this is insanity, for good grief's sake, please, get some exercise."

All this nonsense leads to my real story of my Zumba experience last night. My Zumba buddy, Julia and myself have promised one another that by the end of our instruction we WILL be sexy. It's just that our hips, cleavage and non-existent rhythm do not seem to want to comply to said promise. By the end of the class last night I determined that I could take Zumba classes for the rest of my existence and never be sexy. Quite honestly if there is one thing I get from Zumba every night, it's a busted gut.

I Zumba in the back where not even I can see myself. I thought that if I stand behind who I thought was the most reserved gal in the class I could look like a freak till my hearts content. I would like to assume that the little "reserved gal" had a frustrating day yesterday and that all frustrations she felt needed to be worked out through some absurd, chaotic, hip-thrusting, butt wiggling, shimmy shaking Zumba moves. But really, there is a time and place for everything. And when your business is all up in my grill-it's neither the time nor the place. Frequently I found myself staring, mouth agape like a teenage boy at the spectacle before me. At this point I had to remind myself that:

A: I am not a teenage boy, so please, advert your eyes
B. It's rude to stare and some people are just plain crazy
C: As far as I knew, this is beginning Zumba
D. When I am eating your hair, it's too close
and
E. Who in the world said it was okay to make my personal exercise space part of your zumba freak fest?

Needless to say, I'm kind of excited for the game she brings next week. Oh, and I'm Zumba'ing on the opposite side of the room.
