I just LOVE a vintage shopping spree! Whether it's finding treasures at Saver's (I don't want to hear any laughing), or hunting at garage sales (once again, no laughing), there are always good finds to be found!
#1- Vintage Steve Madden Oxford Heels. Nothing says adorable like oxfords or Steve Madden shoes.
#2-Vintage German Mug-When my mom went on a European tour in the 70's, she brought back this little beauty.
#3-Vintage 30's Metal Compact Clasp- I about fell out of my chair when I spotted this inlaid pearl compact at a yard sale.
#4-Vintage Secretary's Blouse- It's purple, it has a polka-dots and to top it all off, an adorable bow surrounding the collar. I quickly snatched this treasure up at Saver's.
#5-  Vintage Little Women Book- This was also a gift from my mom. We both love, "Little Women", the book and movie are fantastic. I was so excited to add it to my ever growing collection of vintage books.

Have You Seen This Wizard?

Today marks the end of a generation and a happy closing to a fantastic time of my childhood. The movie was beyond excellent. Where it was appropriate, I cheered,  when my heart ached, I cried. It was a fantastically bittersweet ending to the movies I have for so long anticipated and enjoyed.

When I was 8 years old, I happened across a book at my elementary's school book fair. I disregarded the books on Princesses and American girls and instead, chose a paperback copy with a picture of a boy flying on broomstick as the front cover. Little did I know that this inconspicuous book would one day be the phenomenon it is. Throughout my childhood I read and re-read Harry Potter. I was there during Harry's first quidditch match, when he gauged Tom Riddle's diary with a basilisk fang, when he traveled back in time to save his godfather, when he became the tri-wizard champion, when he trusted no one, when the wizarding world around him seemed to be falling part, and in the end Harry, I was there as Voldemort was defeated. To the world of magic that was created for both the old and the young, I thank you Harry Potter. Here, is to a job well done!

Daily Outfit: Stripes and Zig-Zags

tank: old navy, skirt: cooperative: cardigan: h&m, oxfords: cooperative, socks: vintage

Sarah (my gorgeous little sister) and I ventured to Old Navy the other day and were most pleasantly surprised to find that they were having a 75% sale...on...everything...*GASP*. I quickly snatched up my $2 dollar yellow tank and a few (several) other items. My amazing friends, who seem to know exactly what I would have picked had I gone on a shopping trip to Urban Outfitters, purchased the adorable skirt for me as a birthday present. And I'm sorry, but who doesn't love knee-high socks? 'Nuff said.
