Casket Pieces-Say What?!

I make a lot of stupid mistakes. And when I say a lot, I mean everyday, about 15 times a day if not more. I'm surprised more people don't throw sticks at me or slap their hands to their knees in fits of belly laughter. Yes, it's that bad. And it's not necessarily always just mistakes, it's just dumb things I do that make things awkward or make me mentally slap my forehead (although several times in complete surprise to my face, my hand has a mind of its own and *SLAP*).

For example, today I'm at work right? Penny (my manager) just got back from a European tour ( I could write a whole other blog about how jealous I am). I haven't exactly trained with Penny yet...but Hailey (my adorable co-worker), told me not to worry. So, Penny comes in and starts to work on a casket piece for a longtime friend. I'll just start by saying that I have no idea on this wide planet the cost of casket piece. Not a single clue. Penny's putting this piece together and the conversation begins like this...

Penny: So, I think I want to add some more pink over on this side..make sure that you treat the center like a ball. I think I need more white carns on this side..you see you have this line, so I want to make sure that it flows and this line comes out over here...do we have anymore white carns?
Me: Uuhhhh...
Penny: Make sure that all the flowers are pointing towards the center. You want it to be like a fan...but not really..all in the center..
Grandchild: GRANDMA cut the rope, CUT THE ROPE!!
Penny: Some more pink carns on this side...a little on the side..Oh! Darling, yes! The rope...cut cut!
Me: So..do these casket pieces start at about $75 dollars give or take?
Penny: *guffaw* 75?! Dollars?! 75?! I have over 75 flowers in here. They are at the least $2.00 a piece. $75?! Liz told me you needed to learn more about flower prices! Casket pieces start at least at $200 dollars...no, no, definitely NOT $75..Hailey, make sure Erica knows flower prices...
Me:*ashamed and downtrodden* um..ok, $200. Not $75...

Take a look at this (eerily similar to the *$250* one Penny fabulously designed). Go ahead and laugh. Yes, I for one ridiculous reason or another thought that THIS was worth about $75 dollars....
