I remember the day that Weston received his mission call-Ventura, California. If you know my family, then you know that we are Disney fanatics. We have joked all of Weston's life that he would get called to the Disneyland mission...and the funniest part? He actually got called to serve in Ventura, less than an hour away from one of our favorite places on earth.
Look how sharp and dashing he is!
I can't believe how fast time flies. Weston entered the MTC on September 14th. I thought that I could handle the good-byes, but it ended up being harder than I had imagined. When we arrived, there were six missionaries waiting to greet him and take him into the MTC. We gave him our final hugs goodbye, whispered, "I love you's" and watched as he walked into the best two years of his life.
This is Elder Hamilton with his MTC companion Elder Lentz (from Alaska)
Weston left the MTC on Monday. He called from the SLC airport at around 7:00 am (good grief, I know!). He was so excited to get immersed in serving in California. Hearing his voice again made me homesick for him, but I know that he is where he needs to be, doing the work of our Savior. I love you Elder Hamilton and will be seeing you soon!
